More info: Ax Max 2 Stereo Active DI

The Ax Max 2 Stereo Active DI, is a recreation of the original Ax Max DI prototypes, initially designed by the late Dave Brownell.  Faithful to the original prototypes, the Ax Max 2 is hand-built with carefully spec'd, high-precision military grade resistors and low noise components.  This extremely compact two-channel version of the original fits easily on a pedal board, crowded stage, or studio and allows you to connect your guitar or other instrument with 1/4" instrument cable direct, with XLR, into a mixing console or recording interface with stereo capability. Each channel is conveniently powered by 48V phantom power through the XLR cable. The two channels are separate and operate independently. It can also be used as an XLR splitter by patching between output 1 and input 2: Mono instrument cable to input 1, patch between output 1 and input 2, and then you have two XLR outputs from one input signal!

Features:

  • Line-isolator type signal level from XLR outputs with high headroom - clear output with no signal level drop.
  • Compact and durable construction.
  • 1/4" instrument cable connections.
  • XLR output. Powered by 48V phantom power through XLR connection.
  • Input pad on each channel for use with higher output instruments such as keyboards.
  • Through output on each channel for connecting to amps for live monitoring.
