Pillar Boost

Pillar Boost is a high-headroom boost with loads of warmth and character. The carefully voiced tri-parallel transistor gain stage delivers a rich warmth to make you pop out in the mix. It has a healthy mid-frequency push, tamable highs that sparkle when you dig in and a tight low end that doesn't muddy the signal. Think smooth powerful warmth with a dynamic response and enough tasteful brilliance on tap to retain picking dynamics.

The Tone knob controls the roll-off frequency from 2 kHz to 8.7 kHz by using an active low pass filter that preserves the overall voicing and dynamics. Since the tone control is an active filter, as opposed to a high boost/high cut, the entire range of the Tone knob is useable including the maximum and minimum settings. Higher Tone knob settings reveal more picking dynamics and crisper transients, and lower settings have a softer feel without being excessively dark.

Pillar Boost works well positioned either before or after drive pedals of any type. This pedal has a very low noise floor due to its unique circuit design, but don't be deceived because it really packs a punch once you start playing! Powered by a standard 9V DC center negative supply, the internal voltage is cranked up to 34V rail-to-rail offering immense headroom and dynamic range.
